Dominion Energy has submitted their Golden to Mars Transmission Line Project Application to the SCC. The SCC is the state agency responsible for deciding the route that Dominion Energy will build.
All 6 Routes submitted impact Ashburn neighborhoods with 185-foot high-voltage overhead transmission lines.
The SCC is accepting comments from the community. We need to show them that we do not support high-voltage power lines in our neighborhoods and support undergrounding.

2. REGISTER FOR SCC PUBLIC HEARING BY PHONE
On December 15th, the SCC will also hold a public witness hearing by telephone, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pre-registration is required. Pre-registration may be accomplished in one of two ways:
1. Completing a public witness form for case number PUR-2025-00056 on the SCC’s website.
2. Calling the SCC at 804-371-9141 during normal business hours (8:15 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) and providing your name and the phone number you wish the commission to call to reach you during the hearing.
NOTE: If you completed a public witness form at the public hearing but did not get to speak, you will need to follow the pre-registration steps above to participate by phone. You are not automatically registered.
